I enjoy all movies involving the "Terminator." However, I'm only aware of the movies and TV episodes. I don't know anything about the video games or books, though it seems like I read a Terminator oriented novel one time. I can't remember the name. The following breakdown lists all Terminator movies by the year of release.
➥ The Terminator (1984)
The Terminator, a cyborg infiltration and assassin unit designed to appear human, is sent back through time. Its mission is to terminate Sarah Connor, a woman who will one day give birth to the leader of those who rise up to destroy the machines. The future resistance also manages to send a soldier, Kyle Reese, back through time. He is tasked with protecting the timeline. He must make sure that Sarah survives.
The Terminator movie has aged well. It has also given classic movie lines, i.e. "I'll be back." The actors, especially the leads, work well together. The interaction of Lance Henriksen and Paul Winfield, police officers, even provided some comic relief. Henriksen is popular, and Winfield is notable as having acted in a couple of Star Trek efforts. He was great as Captain Dathon in the TNG episode, "Darmok."
