7 Signs You Have a Powerful Mind

7 Signs You Have a Powerful Mind

I found some good "signs" on Meta. I'm not sure of 100% accuracy, but they are interesting to think about.

  1. You don't argue - you just stop explaining. You've learned that silence protects your peace better than words ever will.
  2. You lost interest fast when conversations have no depth. Small talk drains you. Real connection energizes you.
  3. You sense people's intentions instantly. Your intuition picks up energies long before they speak.
  4. You're calm in situations where everyone else panics. That's emotional intelligence - not luck.
  5. You don't chase...you attract. Because you know your value, and you act like it.
  6. You can walk away from anyone, even someone you love. Strength isn't staying - it's choosing yourself.
  7. You reinvent yourself quietly. While others are posting, you're improving. while they talk, you transition.

"If these signs hit a little too hard...you’re not 'different' — you’re leveling up mentally. Most people never develop this kind of emotional strength...but if you relate to even 3 out of 7, your mind is operating on a higher frequency than you realize. Strong intuition. High standards. Zero tolerance for drama. That’s not attitude — that’s growth."

5 Facts About North Korea

5 Facts About North Korea
5 Facts About North Korea

This list is non-comprehensive, as many of us would find more facts to dwell on. Here is a list of some of the common strange facts:

  1. There used to be only one pizza parlor in North Korea. It was founded on the orders of General Kim Jong Il because he loved Italian food, and only the elite (upper class) and foreign tourists could dine there. Now, other places serve pizza and Italian food as well.
  2. Since modern North Korea was founded, it has been ruled by the Kim family.
  3. North Korea follows a "three-generation punishment" rule. Basically, if someone gets in trouble, their entire family suffers.
  4. North Korea is not, strictly, a communist regime. It functions more as a monarchy. Its ideology is called "Juche." This translates as (roughly) "self-reliance."
  5. North Koreans have to get government approved haircuts. Women may choose from one of 18 styles, while men have access to 10 styles.

Mel's Hole

Not Mel's Hole
Not Mel's Hole

Mel's Hole is a story presented as truth but is now considered to be an urban legend. According to various sources, Mel's Hole is a well-like structure nine feet in diameter and was encircled by bricks or stones. The owner of the land, Mel Waters, dumped his trash into the hole, and all the neighbors did too.

Two mysterious details stand out: Mel supposedly used fishing line in an attempt to find out how deep the hole is. He reached a depth of 15 miles (!) and still didn't hit the bottom. Second, a neighbor's dog died, and the man threw the body into the hole. The next day, the dog was seen, and he was very much alive.

Mel told his story to Coast to Coast AM with Art Bell. He claimed that the U.S. government bought his land (and the hole). Mel himself had relocated to Australia.

There are many inconsistencies in Mel's story, namely:

  • Mel's fishing line would likely encounter enough of Earth's heat so as not to survive a 15-mile-deep plunge.
  • Under no circumstances can a deceased dog return to life.
  • The hole is said to be in the area of Ellensburg, Washington. But there is no evidence that a person named Mel Waters ever lived in the area.
  • Searches in and around Ellensburg, Washington have come up empty. There is no evidence of a miles-deep hole.
  • Geologists have stated that a hole such as the one described is a geological impossibility.

The tale of Mel's Hole is an interesting story and first appeared in 1997. Unfortunately, it's just a story. It's almost certainly a hoax and will remain classified as such until the miraculous, magical, hole is discovered.

5 Facts About Snobs

"He's a snob." "She's a snob." We've probably all heard or said this negative word at one time or another. Well, if you're a snob you might have been another definition of the word, depending on history.

Snob means:

        1. The word was first used for a shoemaker or cobbler. Are you a cobbler? Snob!

        2. It was once used to describe a local town merchant. It was a negative term.

        3. It later came to mean a person of low or lower class.

        4. It has been conjectured to come from the words "sine nobilitate,' which means "without nobility." Not nobility? Snob!

        5. It has also been conjectured that it refers to a person who copies the behavior and mannerisms of upper class society.

All of the above terms probably fall by the wayside nowadays. If you call someone a snob or get called one, it means you're arrogant, aloof, and probably a mean jerk.

  3. Raccoons are omnivores. I've found empty mussel shells and turtle shells near pool banks, evidence that they fell victim to a raccoon.
