Balutar Swoop and Death Watch Mandalorian Unboxing

This is a Micro Galaxy Squadron Mystery Vehicle and Figure, specifically a Micro Galaxy Squadron Mystery Box Series 5 - Balutar Swoop and Death Watch Mandalorian. It's a "blind box," meaning you don't know what it is until you open it. It features a Balutar Swoop and a Death Watch Mandalorian. I currently have six of these mystery boxes. Unfortunately, some were the same - and that's why I don't like blind mystery boxes.

Fang Fighter

Fang Fighter
Fang Fighter - Author's Collection

The box for this model has a small figurine of a "Mandalorian Fleet Commander," but doesn't describe the ship or anything about it. Starwars.com, however, has this to say:

"The starship of choice for the Mandalorian Protectors of Concord Dawn, the Fang fighter was a formidable craft. It was tailor-made for combat, featuring wing-mounted laser cannons and a hidden proton torpedo port in its belly. The Fang’s pivot wings provided a vector thrust control, allowing it to make turns of which few ships are capable; in order to handle such a ship, the legendary Fenn Rau personally trained all Fang pilots. In battle, it was hard for any fighter to match the Protectors and the Fang."

See the article here.

Another article is available here.

Online prices for these ships are too high. Find one on the shelf at Walmart and you'll spend far less cash. That's where I got mine.

Luke Skywalker's Snowspeeder

Snowspeeder
Luke Skywalker's Snowspeeder - Author's Collection

I do believe this one is from The Empire Strikes Back. Who could forget the cables used to defeat the AT-AT Walkers? This ship is the latest one in my collection. It includes figurines of Luke Skywalker and Dak Ralter.

Shin Hati's Fiend Fighter was first seen in the Ahsoka television series. The ship includes a 1-inch figure of Shin. Ukrainian actress Ivanna Sakhno played the character in Ahsoka.

AT-AT Walker (Endor) Assault Class

AT-AT Walker
AT-AT Walker - Author's Collection

My daughter bought me the holy grail of my collection for Christmas. I've wanted an AT-AT since I was a kid. This one has 18+ action features and includes an imperial speeder bike. It has interior lighting and sound effects. The vehicle's cockpit opens, and the top of it can be removed to reveal lights and a crane for lowering the speeder bike. The legs move and so does the cockpit. It's a very detailed model and even has some "scorch marks" on it from battle.

This AT-AT's effects include, "light up command center, viewport, and chin cannons, plus sounds that include blaster fire, walking effects, and lines from the original films" (taken from Amazon's description). It comes with 8 one-inch figures. These are Darth Vader, Luke Skywalker, an AT-AT pilot, a scout trooper (for the speeder bike), and four Stormtroopers. Two don't have weapons, and the other two do have weapons. The AT-AT is a prized addition to my Star Wars collection. It cost right at $60.

Millennium Falcon

Millennium Falcon

Millennium Falcon - Author's Collection

I've been too sick to post lately. I already have a small Hotwheels version of the Falcon, but my daughter got me this new version for Christmas. It's a 7" Micro Galaxy Squadron version. It has a radar dish and weapon. It has four 1" miniatures: Han Solo, Chewbacca, Princess Leia, and Obi-Wan Kenobi (Sir Alec Guinness version). The vehicle takes 3 AAA batteries. The engine lights up and makes sounds. I like this vehicle. I had a much larger version when I was little.

Desert Skiff

Desert Skiff - Author's Collection

I'm not sure if this item was around when I was a kid. If it was, it didn't know about it. I remember it from the movies. It has two figures with it, Han Solo and a Nikto Skiff Guard.

The picture is of an A/SF-01 B-wing fighter. It's one of the latest in my collection. I like the little figurine of the pilot.

Poe Dameron's T-70 X-Wing

Poe Dameron's T-70 X-Wing - Author's Collection

Although I had some Star Wars vehicles (large Kenner versions), I never had the good fortune to own an X-Wing fighter. I wanted one, but I never got one. The model shown is called "Poe Dameron's T-70 X-Wing." It was piloted by Commander Poe Dameron. The vehicle has figures of Dameron and R2-D2. I had a figure of R2-D2 when I was a kid. I wonder why R2-D2 is included in the set? Shouldn't it be Bb-8 instead?

Imperial Troop Transport - Star Wars

Imperial Troop Transport
Imperial Troop Transport - Author's Collection

I used to have one of these, a larger version, probably about 30 years ago. I had a couple of stormtrooper action figures to go along with it; they had to be purchased separately, and I remember they cost $3.14 apiece. I think my troop carrier was a Christmas gift.

I recently found this one to add to my collection. Unlike the one I had years ago, this one will never be taken out of the box. I like the small stormtrooper figures that came with this piece.
