The Incident at Pine Hills Mounds

Black-eyed kids and other shenanigans.

Epilogue

Dear Colleagues,

I had planned to continue writing, but I am compelled to stop at this point. It’s for a good reason. The President congratulated us and asked us to turn the matter over to the military.

The events of the 2300 to dawn hours have been pieced together from the memories of Mackenson Institute’s faculty and the recordings of that evening. All these documents and other media have been turned over to Colonel John J. Williams. Fortunately, we were successful in our mission. I don’t know if Dr. Easton agrees, but for once I am glad that I don’t have any objects to be curated.

While I have been ordered to remain silent, note the following timeline:

        1. At 2330 a drone flying on the orders of Colonel John J. Williams began to record the Pine Hills mound.

        2. At 2340 an agricultural aircraft piloted by two special operators swooped low over the Pine Hills area, twice. On each pass they dropped 3-5-6 Phytoxin in its gaseous form. The chemical has a 100 percent chance to cause human beings to suffer amnesia for exactly 14 days. When the chemicals struck, the drone confirmed that the civilians were incapacitated. The aerial applicator returned to the airport where it was met by security from Mackenson Institute. The security team retrieved the 3-5-6 Phytoxin containers and returned them to the vault. The airplane crew departed for parts unknown. After this, Sergeant Gilbert’s task force was ordered to charge the mound site.

        3. The M113 retrieved the civilians and began to retreat toward a defendable position. Upon arrival, the soldiers inside the carrier exited and removed the former captives. They then sought cover from which to fire. At this time the drone observed four “grays” removing something from inside the vault that their prisoners had been excavating. They appeared to be carrying something stretched across poles, like a stretcher. Sergeant Gilbert and the M113 driver did indeed storm the mound site, as commanded. The Master Sergeant unleashed a murderous hail of machine gun fire. Unfortunately, the driver and Master Sergeant Gilbert were killed in action.

        4. An M132 flamethrower prepared to release its combat soldiers and then burn the grays and whatever they were trying to carry. At this point, the Borth Mundar Balam rushed the M132 carrier. Three were destroyed by fire, but one entered into the vehicle and killed all six of the commandos and the two vehicle operators. The second flamethrower destroyed the last alien, and turned its attention back to the mound.

        5. A loud “pop” in the air killed the M113’s and the last M132’s engines. At that time the four grays, carrying their burden, ran into the side of the mound where an entrance had apparently been carved out by the bulldozer and excavator. They disappeared into the mound and a loud PSSHH noise could be heard. The distinct whirring of an engine could be heard.

        6. We all felt the earth tremble, and our remaining tracked vehicles were commanded to return when (if) they regained power. In a few moments, we understood what we were hearing. The remaining earth on top of the mound had been loosened. It continued to fall to the ground and in a short time a circular vehicle ascended from where it had obviously been sitting, buried beneath the mound. It was the color of bronze fire, with something like jade green portholes circling it. It began to spin, slowly, and then it quickly shot into the sky. None of us could follow it with our eyes.

        7. The second gas-distribution pass included Theodore Lang’s farmhouse. He and Jon Huffman were to suffer memory loss, just like the other civilians. I had no input on this, but it’s probably for the best.

        8. The families of Esmeralda, Grace and Elisa, were given the amnesia “potion.” Eventually, anyone who was remotely connected to anyone involved was to be injected. I’m not sure what the numbers will look like, but it may involve quite a number of individuals.

        9. A number of specialists retrieved the civilians, and many more were briefly on the grounds to study the mound. I’m not privy to their data—and I don’t want to know. The trouble is that they were all in those black unmarked helicopters, and several of them were seen. So now we’ve got those conspiracy theorist people on our hands. They came back several times over the next few days. I assume they were finishing the excavation of the mound, recovering whatever may have been left behind.

        10. A heavy tracked recovery vehicle was brought in to retrieve the M113 and the two M132s. I’ve been told that they will never run again. They are currently being studied at an unknown location. The M577 was not damaged, being some distance away from the other assault vehicles.

        11. A news story was indeed provided to the media. They reported what they were told, and they quickly allowed the cover story to die.

        12. It appears as though everyone who was “infected” with the gas did indeed remain unconscious for 14 days. They all seemed to be in perfect health, only displaying a minimum of dehydration and a touch of malnutrition. The girls were a little worse off than the others, but they too are expected to fully recover.

        13. I do not know what happened regarding the soldiers who lost their lives on the mission. The army will take care of its own.

        14. In what may be the most disturbing part of this misadventure, Ghalia (my adopted daughter), gave me some astonishing news. She was watching the video when the drone flew for the second time. She has advanced senses, especially at night, and she told me something that she didn’t reveal to the others. The thing the grays were carrying was a stretcher, with something like an ancient ark or a casket upon it. The casket was crystal clear. Inside was a black humanoid figure. It was furry, with the body of a man and the head of a black jaguar.

The incident at Pine Hills mound? Balam is an alien that assumes the form of a pagan deity. At least that’s what it seems like.

My friends, I sincerely hope that no one else desecrates a burial mound, at least for a little while. I think we all need to take a vacation. Or get together in Clarkston for dinner, and enjoy a little red wine. Let me know what “you all” think. Thank you again for all your hard work! -Dr. Robert Williamson, Director, Mackenson Institute.

The End.
