I've had a long day, and my back is killing me. I set my alarm and got up at 8 A.M. This in itself is a feat, since I take quetiapine and a handful of other medications at night before I go to bed.

The first thing I accomplished was hauling some (not burnable) trash out to the dumpster at the end of our driveway. I drove back to the house, gathered up all burnable trash, and burned it in the burn barrel.

While the trash was burning I started washing the SUV. Around this time the temperature hit 90+ degrees. I got the car washed. It doesn't look new but at least it's clean.

After this, I removed a 5k BTU air conditioning unit from a living room window. It didn't (doesn't) work. I replaced it with a used 10k BTU unit. This job was time consuming because I had to remove hardened "expanding foam" sealant from both air conditioners. I finally got the unit in the window, and then I had to cut a small piece of plywood to fill in a gap. I didn't have any foam around the house, so I had to go to the dollar store and get a can. I finally got through with it.

I then cleaned up some limbs out of the yard. One was so big that I had to use my electric pole saw (think chainsaw on a pole) to cut it up. I got that cleaned up, but there's at least one more big limb that's left to go.

I fed and watered the dogs. My daughter bought a box of treats to give to the outside dogs. I give them one a piece. Finally, that was the end of my work at our house.

Earlier in the day my wife went to town with her sister. She brought me some lawn mower gas. I still don't know when I'll get to mow.

Last, we went to my sister-in-law's house and helped her rake up some sticks. The power company (or their sub-contractor) had cut limbs away from the electric line that runs across her property, and they left a mess. We finished that up and finally returned home for the evening. We had homemade burritos for dinner, courtesy of my wife.

Tomorrow we'll finally get to go buy some groceries for ourselves. In general, I like going to get groceries. Sometimes it's a bit overcrowded at the market, but most of the time it's not too bad.
