We were going to string lights around the porch, just for extra lighting. We got one set from the dollar store. The strand wasn't going to be long enough, so we bought another (longer) set. I started stringing the shorter strand. I got that one done and got ready for the next one. Short story: They didn't work and I'm going to have to take them back and exchange them.
This afternoon a short while after not putting up lights, I came inside planning to sit down. I opened the door. As usual, I was looking at a modem sitting on the floor. What was different was the snake sliding across it. What's worse is that I don't know what kind it was.
Our house is not in very good shape. "My room" lost part of the seal between the wall and the floor. There's a gap there, and I'm sure that's where the snake got in. I know I should've already fixed it. Anyway, I went to the store and bought some expanding foam sealant. Hopefully, that will deter the snake.
