We got the holes (1") drilled and the lamps in position. These are the kind of lights that operate off of AAA batteries; sunlight is required for them to charge. The light they produce is not that great, so we're planning to install a string of lights this weekend.
It feels like I haven't done anything today, but I'm still tired. I did laundry, and I made chicken salad tonight, which is time-consuming. I actually had to bring the onions and pickles to my desk in order to dice them up. My back just wouldn't allow me to stand for any length of time. Occasionally I need my cane inside the house.
Tomorrow, I plan on making a strawberry cake (by special request). I guess we'll also go to the market too, assuming that we feel like it. In addition to food, I need some zip ties for the new string of lights.
I've got four (edit: 5) Micro Galaxy Squadron mystery vehicles (Star Wars). I plan on doing some unboxing posts as soon as possible. I also finished about one-half of Star Trek The Original Series. I'm going to post an overview of every episode when I finish the seasons (there are three seasons).
If I can, I'll mow the rest of our yard this weekend. Hopefully, it won't be dangerously hot. I already got a notice from the Weather Channel. We're under a heat advisory.
I have more flash fiction (and longer stories) to add to the blog. I didn't know I'd have so much. I guess I'll add that to my other hobbies.
