The flower in the picture appears to be the Asiatic Dayflower. However, it could also be the Erect Dayflower (Commelina erecta). The latter was named by a Swedish botanist named Linnaeus. He named it for three brothers of the Commelin family. The plant was never used for medicinal purposes; it is simply an attractive wildflower. The seeds can be purchased online.
