Arby's Fries
Lunch At Arby's - Author's Picture

I'm fatigued, so this won't be a long post. On October 24, I spent the majority of the day taking my mom to her kidney doctor. I always sit in the car because I don't want to go into a doctor's office unless I have an appointment. I remember Covid. I had Covid! It wasn't fun. Whatever the case, she got a good report from her doctor. That's a good thing, especially since she's nearly 80 years old and often seems to dread the next life. Everyone wants to go to heaven, but no one wants to go right this moment.

After the doctor's appointment, we went to lunch at Arby's. It seems to be Mom's favorite place to go. She's been going there for a long time. She and my dad used to eat there when he was alive, and he departed this world in 2003. We both had roast beef sandwiches. The food was good, but not super impressive. I ate it. One thing I don't like is the sauce they put on the sandwiches; I always order mine without it. I had an Arby's cheeseburger last time we went. It was decent, but (yuck) it had some kind of sauce on it that I didn't like. If I ever get another one, it won't have the sauce on it.

Today (25 October) I and my wife went to Walmart to do our weekly shopping. We'll go back tomorrow to shop for my mom and our kiddos. That's one of the reasons I (and my wife too) are so tired. Walking around Walmart is like running a 3k. I wish I could still run a 3k or 5k - I used to do it every day before I got out of shape after my stroke.

I saw a couple of old friends at Walmart this evening and spent a few minutes talking. Then we saw our other friend who works at the store. She used to work until 8 PM, but now she gets off at 6. We don't get to see her as often as we used to. She's the best employee in the store, in my opinion.

I added a piece to my Star Wars collection tonight. It's a spaceship, and I hadn't heard of it before today. I'll take a picture of it and post it at a later date. I need to do some research on it first.

It's approaching 10 PM in Texas, and I have a few things to do. I'm about to create some more December content.
