Survival Island is a surprisingly good movie, a firm 5 out of 10 from me. Survival Island is also called Demon Island and Piñata: Survival Island. It is a horror movie that was released in 2002. It stars Nicholas Brendon and Jaime Pressly. Pressly does an outstanding job with her character, Lisa, and Brendon also rises to the occasion as Kyle. I have watched this movie several times, maybe about four times.

Synopsis

The movie tells the tale of a group of college students who travel to an island to participate in something of a scavenger hunt, called a "Cinco de Mayo treasure hunt." Two of the group discover a pinata, which is cursed. The pinata was made many years ago when a tribal member funneled into it all the sins and wickedness of his people. Two students find the pinata and accidentally bring it to life. It kills one of the students and proceeds to roam the island, hunting the rest. The young folks are dispatched, one by one. Who will be left alive?
