Captains Log, March 8

Captain's Log

The water and the juice are within arm's reach. The candy dish is loaded with jellybeans and Starburst. The fake flower is ready for spring and summer. Most of the items in the picture are Dollar Store purchases; however, the candy dish is an antique.

I was thinking earlier about a co-worker who I met many years ago (probably 30 years). We had both recently got out of the army. We both ended up working at a company that failed. The man appreciated things like the beauty of the sunset. He was one of those people who have "the soul of a poet." Later I heard that he got involved with crack cocaine and was an addict. Occasionally I wonder what happened to him and how he's doing nowadays.

I got ready to take my mom's groceries to her this morning. As soon as I got out on the road, I got an alert about a low tire. I finished with the groceries and returned home. I got the air gauge out and checked the pressure. It was reading 20 pounds! The tires are supposed to have 44 PSI. So, just as we were going to go to Walmart ourselves, we had to sidetrack and get the tire checked out. It turns out that there was a small nail in it.

Nothing much happened today. I did get a Cobb Vanth action figure that was on sale. Also, I have fully transcribed my e-book from the original EPUB format.
