Grogu Sticker
Author's Picture of Grogu

Well, I almost had a spell or a fit a little while ago. It looked like our TV in the living room was on its way out. Thank goodness for the tech-savvy of my daughter and son-in-law. I'm not sure exactly what they did, but it's working now.

We went to Walmart today and picked up our groceries. I bought a few snacks to take to the hospital next week. We also picked up a few Star Wars items, including a sticker for the back windshield. It's a sticker of Grogu, shown in the above picture.

I've started pre-packing some things for our stay at the hospital. Yesterday I booked a room at the Holiday Inn. We'll be there one night, and then have to be at the hospital at 5:30 a.m. Surgery is at 7:30. I'm already nervous. Fortunately, I have enough bags and suitcases to carry everything we need. We're (tentatively, I suppose) supposed to be in the hospital for three days.

I started the process of cleaning the car out a little bit. It's not terribly cluttered, but I want to clean it up anyway. We have a long week ahead of us. Tomorrow I also need to head out and get some ice for the cooler. We have things to keep cool, including a solution that my wife will have to drink the night before the surgery.

Monday I have to take my mom's car to town and fill it up with gas for her. Both her and the kids had long grocery lists because we won't be here next weekend. We got their things on Friday. We didn't feel like doing our shopping after we got through with theirs. That's why we went back today.

I'm taking notes again for a new, hopefully much longer, story. It'll involve ghosts, ghouls, liminal spaces, and the people who find themselves dealing with such things. I'm still very much at the beginning of the process. Maybe I can develop it more when I'm at the hospital.
