We left around noon this morning to see an infectious disease doctor. This is the doctor who had the wife on home-administered antibiotics. To make a short story shorter, they removed her PICC line, so she's good to go. Well, except for the drain tube and colostomy bag that she has. Now, getting that drain tube out is a priority. It's a source of pain.
On our way to Frisco, where the doctor is located, we ran into a severe thunderstorm. I had to drive around 50 miles an hour where the speed limit is 75. It was a good thing that we left early.
I didn't see much along the way. I did notice, on a public easement, a sign advertising a Mennonite Church's Vacation Bible School. That church, which I often drive by, "has itself together." I frequently see them gathered at their place of worship. And they're together a lot. They certainly don't forsake the assembling of themselves together.
I didn't see too much more until we arrived in Frisco. There, we discovered that our appointment was supposed to have taken place via telephone. But no worries, they said, because we can also see you in the office. Since we were already there, they were able to remove the PICC line. We were happy.
The building that we were in is called the ID-Squad. We were supposed to see Dr. Priyanka Uppal. For whatever reason, we saw Dr. Muhammad Aijaz Khurshid. This was unexpected but not bad, because he was the doctor we saw when my wife was in the hospital.
