| USPO, Bagwell, Texas - Author's Picture |
I enjoy taking pictures. This one was taken on a rainy day in May. It's the Post Office in Bagwell, Texas. Bagwell is an old unincorporated town. At one time, the railroad passed through it, but no more. The old train tracks were removed and replaced by the "Northeast Texas Trail," which is a nature trail. There used to be a store here, railroad onloading and offloading, and a mechanic's shop. Nowadays, there is only one vehicle shop and the USPO. At the time of this writing, according to Wikipedia, Bagwell's population is 258.
I've been considering photographing and documenting government buildings and even some churches. I have no intention of stepping onto the property. I know I'm technically allowed to photograph the interior of a post office, but I have more interest in the (outside) architecture than I do in the inside of any building.
