Eating Tacos!
Eating Tacos!

We went to Walmart this evening for our weekly grocery shopping. We shop for us, my mom, and our kids. It was very busy tonight. My wife, tired from work, grew quite aggravated.

After Walmart came Petco, and after Petco came Taco Bell. The kids wanted food, a "party pack" of 12 soft tacos. Last time they got a party pack they were shorted two or three tacos. My daughter complained to corporate, and they sent her three "$5 off" coupons.

So, my wife orders and presents the coupon. The checkout clerk was new, and had to call for help. The manager (I think) didn't know what to do with the coupon either. She had to get on the phone and call someone to figure out how to apply the coupon. After about ten minutes we got it sorted out. While we waited, we chatted with one of my wife's co-workers who strolled into Taco Bell to buy dinner for her and her boyfriend.

While we were waiting on our order, my wife was kind enough to buy me three soft tacos. I ate them while we waited. They were very good. I always put the "fire" condiment (taco sauce) on them. I finished three tacos before they got our order ready.

After that, we had to stop at the store. Then we stopped at a package company, to pick up (for a family member) some Jaeger. We finally made it home, well before dark. Maybe around 7.

We did get to see our friend who works at Walmart. She's usually off by the time we get there. She had to stay a bit longer because whoever was supposed to start their shift didn't come to work.

I cooked ribs, ranch-style beans, collard greens, and steamed potatoes for dinner last night. It was good. I took the leftover ribs to my brother-in-law tonight. He was ready for them and was standing outside waiting when I drove up. I'm glad the food didn't go to waste!

Tomorrow we're supposed to "keep an eye" on the in-laws' house while they take an overnight trip. I suppose that means we have to watch the inside dog and cat. Outside, there are other dogs, a chicken pen full of chickens, and Penelope the horse. Mainly, we've got to make sure they all have water. Hopefully, we won't have anything else to do this weekend, other than take mom's groceries to her. Actually, no. I forgot that my wife said we'd have to go to town for something, but I can't remember what it was. Peace to all from Lonestar and the posse.
