When I lived closer to Galveston, Texas, I once visited the USS Cavalla, which is permanently berthed at Seawolf Park. It was so hot that they had an air-conditioning system running through the boat. It was SO cramped. There's no way I could have ever served on a submarine. The loss of the Thresher has always interested - and frightened - me.
