Izzy, 2025, Part 13
Izzy knocked on Ethan's door after attending to some of her duties as a "dorm mom." Luckily, nothing had happened that was too serious. The door was quickly opened, and she went inside. "How are you doing, babe?" asked Ethan. "Not too rattled after the ribbon cutting, I hope."
Izzy immediately noticed that she and Ethan were not alone. Christian Taylor, Ethan's friend who worked in town as a librarian, was also present. The trio often hung out together, as Christian rented the other half of Ethan's duplex.
"Hi, Chris," said Izzy. Christian nodded at her and said, "Hey there, Izzy. Good to see you."
"Sorry, I forgot my key," said Izzy to Ethan. "And no, not too rattled. It was just surprising. The director didn't tell me that he was going to call on me until I got there. I didn't even know about the new room. Have they told you whether you'll be going to the new building?"
"I haven't heard anything about it, at least not yet. By the way, congratulations on the new classroom."
