Izzy, 2025, Part 16
"Cold is okay for me, too," said Chris. "Cold beer and cold pizza is a good combination."
DC Ale came in wide-mouth bottles, and it was delicious right out of the bottle. Ethan and Izzy claimed it as "their" beer, and they had put their own twist on it. The secret was lime juice and margarita salt. It was a slow pour beer, and after it was gently poured into a glass, it was an absolutely delicious concoction. It was pretty much a margarita, except it used high-powered brew instead of tequila. All of their friends loved it once they tried it.
"You've come a long way from being Dizzy Izzy," Ethan remarked as he finished pouring two more beers. Izzy was already sipping hers. "It's ironic, really. You're probably more successful than anyone we went to school with."
"It is ironic," said Izzy. "Ironic and poetic in some ways. I still feel weird about the new building, though."
"I'm sure you do. But it is a brand new building. What happened there took place a long time ago and a world away, really."
