| Supermoon 2025 |
The picture shows a "supermoon" and captures, I think, the impossibility of taking a picture of the moon with an iPhone camera. If you can, I don't know how. I wish I had a telescope and a way to take better pictures of the nighttime sky. Sadly, I don't, and I don't foresee getting the money to buy any equipment. I think I'll try to take a look at the moon with my binoculars. I don't know if I'll be able to see much detail. The moon is very bright.
The air conditioner in our car quit a couple of days ago. It's going to cost $400 to get it repaired. We're stuck in hot weather until Monday, at least. The mechanic is waiting to get the part. I already had to cancel a doctor's appointment because of it. I just can't stand to drive for two hours (one-way trip) or so in the heat.
I'm still working on blog content. 3820 is slowly being added to the blog, and in the background, it's still slowly taking shape. I worked on it today, and I worked on another couple of stories as well. As of now, I've got enough blog content to last mid-May of 2027. I really need to make some sort of outline for 3820, especially to guide me in its later stages.
We've been visiting local cemeteries but mostly others far afield. We've also visited museums. My wife and I go to Walmart once per week to pick up our groceries, the kids' groceries, and Mom's. We rarely get to do anything together, so we visit the cemeteries and museums. We also cruise the backroads, like we once did in the days of our youth.
As for graveyards, I like to take pictures of interesting and unusual gravestones, especially old ones. I rarely take pictures of modern grave makers. In many cases, it's sobering to realize that I once knew, generally, a handful of people who are interred in the places we visit. I'm not getting any younger.
I hope all goes well for me and my family. I hope you and yours will likewise be blessed. I can already feel the Fall season in the air. It's amazing how quickly time goes by.
