The lamp in my bedroom kept turning off, and I thought something was wrong with it. I went to a Goodwill store and found the one pictured above. I didn't realize it at the time, but the lampshade is homemade. It has a strip of material at the top featuring "sock monkeys." At the bottom is a red strand of material that has been attached with hot glue. I wonder who made this lampshade? I'll never know.
Oddly enough, the lamp that I was going to replace wasn't trying to fail. The plug had been pulled almost all the way out of the wall. It wasn't making a good connection. So, I didn't need a lamp after all. I'll decide what to do with this new one in the future. I may replace the homemade lampshade. I haven't decided, yet.
