Texas Decoration

Texas Art
Texas Art

My mom is always working on DIY crafts and crafts that she comes up with on her own. She's made all kinds of beaded decorations, "dream catchers," and more. She's not limited to beads. She's done a lot of woodwork over the years. When I saw her Texas decoration and commented on it, which I think is red in color, she offered to make me one. I finally decided that I would like one in blue, with a white border. The blue color is made of a plastic grid-type of material. The white border is made from 1/4" bias tape. I may need to find a better way to hang it, but I'm very happy with it.

We were both questioned. We were both released. We really didn't know what had happened, and had said as much. I'm not sure what happened in the minds of our interrogators, but after we were questioned, we were dismissed. I remember being annoyed that the lunch hour was almost over. I think we went out to get lunch anyway, not caring if we made it back in time for the next class or not. If there was a problem, the teachers could take it to the office as far as we were concerned.

At another time (random memory intruding here), the police brought drug-detecting dogs to examine school lockers. They also took the dogs to the student parking lots. From the second-floor window, I watched as a dog sniffed and circled my car. It circled my vehicle again. Then it did it again. They paid special attention to my car, but as I already knew, they found nothing. Drugs and I don't have anything to do with one another.

Later, the school's campus was remodeled. The old building was abandoned, and it was to be demolished and replaced with a new structure. In the meantime, classes were to be held in portable building-type classrooms. I had already graduated when I heard that news.

Flea Market Finds

Flea Market Finds
Flea Market Finds

Last Sunday, we went to a flea market and picked up a few things (pictured). We picked up a CD, two Christmas decorations, the Pet Sematary book, and another book called Phantom Felines. I got the Stephen King book and the Santa Claus Christmas tree decoration for my daughter. I paid five dollars for everything.

Today I had to go on an errand. It was misting rain and 37 ℉ outside. I passed by some utility workers, working on water lines (I think). They were bundled up from head to toe: Gloves, face coverings, and heavy garments. I felt sorry for them having to be out in that weather.

Later, my wife had to go to the office after hours to look into some paperwork. By that time, it was raining slightly harder, and it was still in the 30s outside. If the temperature falls a bit more, we might get some sleet. And no, I don't look forward to it. As I heard somewhere the other day, I'd rather fry than freeze.

At one point, we stopped at a car wash to rinse and clean my car, which was muddy. The car wash was located just beside the school. I don't think it's there anymore.

Someone, to this day I know not who, saw us there at the car wash. From that point, we became suspects. We were there by the school. The school was vandalized. We must have been involved. So were the thoughts of the school's faculty.

The next day, around lunch time, I was summoned to the principal's office. I didn't know it at the time, but my cousin was also called to the office. She later stated that, as she entered the office, she saw my cowboy boots sticking out from beyond another office door. She then realized that I was in the office as well.

How Submarine CHEFS Feed 150 Sailors in a TINY Kitchen Underwater

From the channel of Anchor Watch.

Another interesting video about food service aboard a U.S. Navy submarine.

"150 sailors. 90 days underwater. Four meals a day. That's 54,000 meals cooked in a kitchen that's 10 feet by 14 feet. Smaller than most apartment bathrooms." Source: Anchor Watch.
