Thanksgiving Week

The picture was taken in the lobby of the veterinarian's office on Monday, November 25.

Today is the 26th day of November, Thanksgiving week. It's been busy. Not quite as busy as I expected, but still busy. I'm thankful that I don't (hopefully) have to leave the house for the traditional Black Friday sales. I'm too broke for deals.

I had to install a new heater at my mom's house on Monday. It's getting chilly in Texas. She was pleased with the heater. We also installed a new heater last year, but she didn't like it. Hopefully, this will be the last one.

On this past Sunday, I was feeding the dogs when I noticed that our little Jack Russell had a "cloudy" eye. My mom and I took him to the vet on Monday. The tech said he had glaucoma. They "stained" the eye and did a pressure check. They gave him medication. He also has an issue with his heart.

It hasn't been as busy as I thought it would be because I had an errand that I didn't get to accomplish. I was going to Tyler, Texas, to pick a new pickup truck for my friend's construction company. We didn't get to go for some reason, and we probably won't go this week anyway because it's Thanksgiving week. Maybe next week. I don't know.

I've got the Thanksgiving ham out on the counter thawing. Looks like we're going solo for Thanksgiving lunch again. We'll eat and I'll take my mom a separate plate. She doesn't get out too much.

Tomorrow my wife has to have an MRI. I'll drive her just in case the tube-like machine gives her motion sickness. I had to have an MRI recently. It would have been unbearable if I hadn't kept my eyes closed. I hope we get good results from her MRI.
