I had my little office Christmas tree all set up and decorated. It took a long time and I was tired. I left the room for a moment and came back. I forgot the cats were in the room. I returned to find my nice tree on the floor. It's the story of my life so far. Everything seems to be going great, then bad things happen. I have such a thing going on in my life right now, though I'm not ready to post about it yet.
We had to go into the city today to buy dog food and get my daughter some cough syrup. We've all been sick for the past week or so. We have to buy those 44 pound bags of Pedigree because we have too many dogs and their guts are bottomless pits. While we were at the grocery store I found a Hot Wheels Star Wars At-St! I love it! I've wanted one ever since I was a kid.
While we were at Walmart, we separated. My wife walked across the store to grab some cough syrup we forgot, while I went into the grocery section. I stopped at the deli, intending to get a chicken sandwich for me and a chicken strip meal for my wife. I waited and waited. Then me and another woman waited. Finally, a third person appeared and also waited. There was ONE employee working in the deli, and she was removing rotisserie chickens from the oven. She wouldn't stop what she was doing to wait on customers! After a long wait, I gave up. I told the woman who was waiting, "I've had enough of this." She rolled her eyes and said, "This is ridiculous." I was royally pissed after that, so we went and ate supper at a steakhouse.
The other day I finished watching the movie Elevation. It's not a bad movie. It stars Anthony Mackie and Morena Baccarin.
I recently reread 314 The Widowsfield Trilogy. Then I started reading it again. It's a good read and I like reading pieces of it before I go to sleep at night. I may even read it again before the year is over. A review is upcoming.
I've done most of the work that I was going to do "in the background" on my blog. I still have to work inside my "blog" folder. And I need to work on 2025 content some more. In a few moments, I am going to watch episode three of the new Star Wars series The Skeleton Crew. The first two shows were a bit slow, but it seems like it's going to be a good show.
