It turned December 1, and I found myself at a 24-hour clinic, an annex of the hospital. My back injury pain was fierce. I couldn't straighten up and at times I had a hard time walking. Since they couldn't do anything, they gave me a shot of morphine and one other painkiller, plus an anti-nausea medicine in case the morphine made me sick. I didn't get sick.
The doctor sent me home with a couple of prescriptions for pain pills and another muscle relaxer. One of them made me quite sick to my stomach. I stopped taking them as of last night. I'll stick to my other meds until I can see my doctor. Right now, I'm weak and freezing to death. I hope I haven't caught COVID.
Sunday we finally got to do some Christmas shopping. Then we hit a dollar store and bought some stocking stuffers. I don't know how much more we need to buy. There are already some presents beneath the tree. I also bought a couple of things for the office, including a dust mop and a 2025 calendar to use in conjunction with this blog and anything else I might want to use it for. It even has stationery with it.
Speaking of Christmas, I decorated my tabletop Christmas tree (Sunday, I think). I was proud of it. Then I left the cats alone with it. They knocked it onto the floor, and I had to do it all over again. At the moment, they're banned from the home office. And they will be unless I'm in here or I take the tree down.
