Homecoming, Part 8

Homecoming
Homecoming

If something happened to my father's resting place, or my uncle's, or the young lady's, or any of the recent burials, the camera would capture the evidence. I decided to leave the camera up for a month. After that amount of time, I would retrieve it and see if anything was revealed.

I began my seminary classes, and my cemetery espionage was placed on the "back burner." I had also forgotten about the cameras, but after four weeks I ventured back to Haven Cemetery and recovered them. As I suspected, there were obvious signs of desecration in the graveyard. This time I did not contact law enforcement. I quickly retrieved my cameras and returned home.

It was raining when I brought the cameras into the house. Unfortunately, I didn't look at them right away. School and ministry took up most of my attention.

A few days later, I hooked the cameras up to my laptop. I began to work my way through the pictures. I was stunned...and I was afraid.

I looked at the pictures several times. And I shuddered. The "trail cams" revealed much more than I expected to see. And now, since I know, and for other reasons, I fear that I am in danger.

Contact

Two days later, I was at the public library in the town of Dobbs City. I had set out to make some notes that I needed for a seminary class. As I was writing, a man approached and sat down across the table from me.

He was dressed in what I can only describe as Victorian attire. He was literally dressed like he was going to a costume party, and the year was 2021. He introduced himself as Thomas Watts, and he said he was both an FBI agent and worked as an official law enforcement source for Dobbs City News.
