The Transition of Camilla Beckwith, Part 4

Camilla Beckwith
The Transition of Camilla Beckwith

It is said (conjectured) that Camilla Lettice Beckwith was infected with vampirism in 1789. She enjoyed a long life. We may even suppose that she was happy, unlike those who came into contact with her.

Conclusion

Starting in the year 2000, CDC hunters began to pursue Beckwith and her loyal staff. We could never capture any of the attendants alive. Jane was the first captured; she had already succumbed to vampirism. Boris followed, and the chief steward was captured outside of a nightclub at an undisclosed location. Beckwith herself was captured in 2022 and, upon resisting, had her heart pierced by a cedar stake. As with many of her kind, overconfidence was her downfall.

Contrary to popular belief, a vampire does not turn into ash when it dies. Neither does it turn to dust. It simply becomes a corpse that shows little signs of decay. Such is Camilla Beckwith's current state. Her body rests at the Institute in a crypt on floor three.
