Captain's Log, March 11

Captain's Log

Today I have been motivated to wash our towels and dishes. I also fed the dogs. I did all that with little or no back pain. I still worry about the health of myself and my wife. I'm trying to stay positive.

Yesterday I got up at 8 a.m., which is far too early for me. I had a 1:30 appointment with my VA psychiatrist. The visit was positive and productive. I genuinely like the doctor. In another time and place, we could have been friends rather than doctor-patient. Nothing outstanding happened during my hour and a half trip to the clinic, to or fro.

After my appointment, I went to the local Walmart. I was searching for off-brand tater tots because my girls find the brand names to be too salty. I did find some, and I also found the tamales that my wife wanted. Our local stores and Walmart doesn't have them anymore. The tater tots were used to make tater tot casserole.

While I was in Walmart I went over to the toy section to see what Star Wars items they had. I found an action figure of Andor's K-2S0 on sale for six dollars (!). It always pays to check the shelves.

I still anticipate phone check-ins in the near future. Automatically scheduled blog posts will still occur at 10 a.m. every day. Perhaps I'll be able to use my laptop when I'm away from home. I'll cross that bridge when I come to it.
