Captain's Log, March 3

Author's Picture

Today has been one of those days where you wish that you could disappear to Asgard and enjoy an ale with Odin himself. I've done more driving today than I have in the past two weeks - and that's saying a lot. I've driven multiple miles in the last two weeks.

We got up before 5 a.m. and left before 6 a.m., heading to Medical City of Sachse (Plano area, I think). The hospital we went to is a campus of Medical City of Plano. The appointment was at 9:15 but we got there earlier and got taken care of earlier. The appointment was for an MRI and CT scan.

I was forced to reschedule my phone appointment with SS. It's going to take place tomorrow at 10:15, I think. I'm not usually up at that time and I don't like being disturbed by anyone or any organization. It's a necessary evil.

What I don't like is this: You make a visit to the doctor, and he (or she) says, "You guys live so far away. I'll try to limit the number of times you have to come to this area." Then it's, "Go see the doctor. He's in Plano." And then, "Go to Allen, Texas, and have "xyz" procedure done." "Oh, then go back to Plano to see another doctor." Then, "Go to Medical City of Sachse and have these other procedures done." That all took place within a window of maybe 14 days, so we've been going often, in my opinion.

If that's their idea of not coming to the area very often, I'd hate to know what it'd be like if we had to go "often." We need a break. We need some peace. My goodness. My God look out for us and give us guidance.
