Hellraiser 1987 – We'll Tear Your Soul Apart

Hellraiser revolves around a portal to "hell" that opens with the solving of a puzzle box called The Lament Configuration. I wrote about this in great detail last year when reviewing Hellraiser 2022.

The original Hellraiser stars, primarily, Ashley Laurence and Clare Higgins. Doug Bradley, Grace Kirby, Nicholas Vince, and Simon Bamford are the principal antagonists of the film. Bradley portrays the now infamous "Pinhead." Clive Barker director Hellraiser; it is adapted from his novella, The Hellbound Heart. I am fortunate enough to own both the movie and Barker's writings.
