| Rabbit - Author's Picture |
Just as we were sitting outside on a bench and I had been musing about how the city is nothing more than concrete and steel, a rabbit showed up right in the big middle of the hospital grounds. He's sitting in the midst of a sprinkler system. I guess it's a cottontail - it had a ball of white "cotton" at its tail.
We were released from the hospital on the 18th of April. We were sent home with multiple prescriptions, including an intravenous antibiotic. We were given a do-it-yourself IV kit and a crash course on how to operate it. We still also have to deal with the temporary colostomy bag. We also have a drain tube. We have to go back to the surgeon this week to get the bag checked (and I don't know what all else).
Since we've been back, I've been jumping through hoops to get things done. Saturday, I tried to do some banking, but the bank was closed. Perhaps because of Easter. Then I went to the pharmacy (half hour drive) to find out that they didn't have my wife's medicine.
Today I've been catching up on laundry, taking out trash, and feeding dogs. I'm tired. But I don't get much help. I just have to do what needs to be done.
There's so much around here that needs to be done. There's only one way to address the issue. I must organize, work slowly and methodically, and not get in a hurry. Only by this, can my tasks be accomplished.
