The Big Screen TV, Part 2

The Big Screen TV

The nephew, Mr. Colin Johnson, was Mr. Washburn's sole heir. He inherited a sizeable amount of money along with Eugene Washburn's house. After visiting his uncle's home, he couldn't figure out what to do with it. He then decided that he wanted to lease it to someone who would also act as a caretaker of the property. This is where I enter the picture.

My name is Preston Wilson. I have lived in Dobbs County all of my life. I even got my degree locally at Dobbs Institute. I had an interview about the property with Mr. Johnson, and we hit it off very well. In short order, I was able to sign a lease and assume the duties of a caretaker.

As a renter and caretaker, I would pay a very small monthly rent, and all fees associated with maintaining the property would be covered by Mr. Johnson. My ability to perform most household and property-related tasks is, I think, what got me the job. Even though I'm fairly young, I have a great deal of knowledge pertaining to the upkeep of homes and property.

I began moving into the home in late October. With the assistance of friends, all my belongings were moved into the house by November 6. We then celebrated with a night of ale, pizza, and Chinese food. Since we were drinking, all of the food was (naturally) delivered to the house.

Life began normally for me, at first. Much of Mr. Washburn's property had been moved by Mr. Johnson, and I was allowed to find a local storage facility for any of his things that I wanted to remove from the house. I moved a great deal of his belongings including his pictures and some antique lamps into a rented space, but I kept such things as I thought might be of use to me. I did advise Mr. Johnson about the aged lamps; he said he would look into it.
