"It does," said Duncan. "Are you a counselor, then?"
"Mhm. I have been many things and have had many occupations. But I haven't counseled in a long, long time."
"Since you are here," said Duncan, "I suppose you are the person I have been instructed to confront if I find you? Are you truly a ghoul or a vampire?"
The woman chuckled. "Ghouls are older than vampires, sir. They are an altogether different species. They prey on the life force of the deceased, and they consume the flesh and bones of the same. They are mostly peaceful. Mostly."
