The Reanimation of Agatha Gill, Emily, Part 1

Emily Pearson, Part 1

Emily Pearson was a high school student and a part-time waitress at Papa Pat's Pizzeria. She could only work limited hours after school, but she worked as many hours as she could. Her employment allowed her to have a bit of pocket money, and she was happy about it.

One day, after work, Emily took a long walk to the Dobbs County Fairground and made her way to her favorite bench. She soon became engrossed in a novel. Emily enjoyed reading, and she loved fashion. Reading and fashion were interests for which she was well known. She was always reading the latest novel, and she dressed with a sense of style that surpassed other 18-year-old girls.

Texas weather is notoriously fickle. That day, the temperature was in the 70s - the first time this year Emily could sit outside for anything, let alone to read. As the sun dipped lower in the sky, casting an amber glow, she immersed herself in her book. She read until dusk approached, at which point she reluctantly packed up and prepared to walk home.
