"The city sold the land, and then the property was bought by a man named Johnathan Jackson. He built the Victorian mansion on the property, the same house where you had your terrible experiences. He and his family went missing in the house. They were never heard of again."
"Babe, that house has and had a dark history, even before you and your mom, and brother were there. The parents of a 10-year-old girl were hanged for imprisoning their daughter in a closet and starving her to death. They were convicted and judged with no real evidence, because the girl's body couldn't be found. They both claimed innocence, of course, but they had already been convicted in the minds of the public."
"The next inhabitants of the house were Jeremiah and Eliza Harris. After they had not been seen at church for a few weeks, the authorities were notified. The police entered the house, but found nothing. Get this - they seemed to have vanished into thin air. And so it goes."
"The next person to vanish in the house was Jacob Harris, the son of Jeremiah and Eliza. Same deal. He was reported missing. The police investigated. No trace of him was ever found."
"You know the rest. Your brother went missing while you and your mom were inside the house, just a short distance from him. He was never found. Your family collapsed because of that tragedy."
