When I entered the home, I immediately felt that "something" was wrong in the house. I knew that it might not be a good idea to be there - but the cheap rent nullified my common (or supernatural!) sense. I immediately agreed to the Walkers' terms.
The family did not require a lease, which I thought was unusual, but they told me I could rent monthly for as long or as short of a time as I desired. I immediately prepared to move into the house. It took about a week, and, with the help of friends, all my belongings were in the house.
The last night we celebrated. We all pitched in to buy craft beer from a local brewery and cheap whiskey we intended to mix with soda. Cheap whiskey is just as good as the expensive brands when you're mixing it. The girls also wanted red wine, so I supplied a sweet red. For dinner, we all had a grand meal (sarcasm alert) of pizza.
The floor plan of the house was relatively straightforward. There was a living room, kitchen, bathroom, bedroom, and a home office on the first floor. The bedroom, which I chose for my own, was the master bedroom. It came with its own bathroom. The bathroom contained a large tub and a separate shower.
The top floor of the house was likewise simple. There was a large storage room, a bathroom, and three bedrooms. The bedrooms were situated above the first floor's master bedroom, home office, and kitchen.
