We left for Dallas at 8 a.m. this morning and arrived at 10:30. We just got back around 3:30. We got my wife's pre-op completed. We ate lunch at McDonald's and made a couple of stops for gas and bathroom breaks. Driving a car gives you a special kind of ache when you do it long enough. You're sitting down, but all you can wait for is to get out of the car so you can sit down comfortably. We were basically on the road for 7.5 hours. The pre-op only took (roughly) 30 minutes. Next Wednesday we'll check into our hotel, hopefully, and Thursday morning it'll be surgery day. She's supposed to be in the hospital for at least three days.
