The blue eyes glared at the young man. She spoke one last time. "Go now, young one, and find her...if you can."
High-Son stumbled backward in fright and sat down, hard, on the ground. There was no time to struggle or resist. A few moments later, his essence painfully left his mortal body. He attempted to scream, but he couldn't. A blue portal of light enveloped him, and he was no more.
Blue arose and glanced around at her surroundings. She spoke, and her campsite, along with everything in it, disappeared. It had all been an illusion. Then another portal opened. She stepped through. No living man would ever know what had happened.
